Application of Metal-Organic Frameworks for the Green Preparation of novel Benzo[b]thiophenes

A simple and efficient method for the synthesis of benzo[b]thiophenes via a multicomponent reaction using a new recyclable hybrid catalyst that combines the catalytic power of transition metal complexes with the architecture of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) was reported. Comparatively the method is efficient and eco-friendly, and finally, a range of compounds with variable functionalities in excellent yield can be achieved
