Abstract:
The present study proposes a new shore and ship power system synchronization technique that enables shore supply free of blackout. This study replaces conventional ship-to-shore synchronization with shore-to-ship synchronization to allow for better exploiting power electronic converter dynamics. Shore-to-ship supply configurations are widely employed in converters so that standard frequency and voltage requirements are met. Experimental (at a small scale) and numerical results demonstrated the effectiveness of the shore-to-ship approach in enhancing synchronization dynamics and load transfer parameters. This approach was particularly effective at distorted ship voltages. The results of the experimental results show an improvement in the performance of the proposed model. The simulation results have also been validated in MATLAB /Simulink software.
