SEISMIC ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF THE CITICORP-II TOWER

Seismic analysis and design issues relating to this .۵۴ story tower located in downtown Los Angeles, USA are presented. The building has topped-out in mid ۱۹۹۰, the exterior formip was completed in late ۱۹۹۰. The building is ready for occupation at the present time. The seismic design criteria for this project, the buildings special shape, architectural requirements and their relation to the process of structural design are highlighted. In addition, a set of in-house developed software systems which significantly simplified and accelerated the preliminary structural design process are inaoduced and their application explained
