Abstract: This study aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the consumer psychology of tourism by carrying out an exploration of the cognitive and affective psychological processes which an individual goes through during the pre-experience and post-experience stages. Thus, a model explaining the interrelationships between psychological variables of the tourist is developed. The present study was conducted on 250 visitors of the Chabahar Free Zone. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. Structural equation modeling, confirmatory factor analysis, and software were used to analyze the data. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to evaluate the reliability of the questionnaire, and the combined reliability and validity of the questionnaire were assessed using divergent and convergent validity. The results showed that the predicted perception of the destination affects the tourists’ expectations and loyalty. In addition, the impact of expectations and emotions on satisfaction is supported, which has a significant effect on behavioral intentions. Finally, several scientific and managerial signs have been identified.
