Modeling of fresh food supply chain (red meat) by considering the cost of transportation abstract
The livestock sector can be responsible for developing food security, employment, social security and rural development. Animal products are of special importance as an effective food in meeting the nutritional and protein needs of households. The livestock sector of the country is one of the most important economic sectors of the country and along the supply chain is a vast source of job opportunities, income generation and relative prosperity for the vast majority of households, especially in rural areas. This way, the value chain of red meat is important in terms of creating job opportunities, rural development and food security. As well as increasing the population of the world in the last decades and more need for food, it has created a variety of food and has caused new knowledge of food packaging and transportation. Meat as one of the most widely used food items is no exception to this rule and, on the other hand, it must be packaged and shipped in appropriate ways because of high standards. In this paper, the goal of the proposed model is to minimize the cost of delivery of products to customers by considering vehicles for transport products, increases the flexibility in the supply chain which is closer to the real world.
