Green supply chain network design: A review on carbon emission reduction policies (carbon tax and carbon cap-and-trade), carbon-sensitive customers, and green technologies

This paper presents a collective review on green supply chain network design. For this purpose, ۲۹ articles will be reviewed from ۲۰۱۸ to ۲۰۲۱. Most of these papers have addressed the impact of carbon emission reduction policies such as carbon tax policy, cap-and-trade on the green supply chain. We have examined the impact of these policies when investing in green technologies and carbon-sensitive customers (green customers). These policies can be seen to reduce carbon emissions effectively, and green customers are also leveraging these policies. The impact of policies on the green supply chain network is also explained for each policy. These policies in general can increase the cost of supply chain and also can reduce the carbon emissions. It is observed that carbon emission reduction policies can change the structure of the supply chain network.
