Simulation of Signals Radiated from Pulse Radars in MATLAB abstract

Simulation of signals radiated from differenttypes of radars is very important in checking the accuracy andperformance of radars as well as its training aspects. Inaddition, it can be used as input to radar interception systems totest their performance. In this paper, a MATLAB code ispresented that has the ability to simulate signals from differenttypes of pulse radars. Radars are simulated with the ability todetermine the pulse shape, pulse filter and PRF. In this softwarealso used the different types of techniques such as integration,PRF staggering, frequency hopping, binary phase coded pulsecompression and linear frequency modulation. The effect ofantenna rotation on the amplitude of the radar signal isconsidered too. As examples, some outputs of the softwaregenerated for some radars are presented.
