Abstract:
Iron, after silicon, aluminum and oxygen, is the most abundant element in the Earth's crust and makes up about ۵% of the Earth's solid crust. Iron is never found as a pure metal on earth and is often found in nature in the form of oxides, carbonates, silicates, and iron sulfide. Most iron ores are oxidized and a very low percentage of iron sources are carbonate ores. Due to its high prevalence, iron ore must have a relatively high percentage of metal to be considered as a source of iron. For example, today reserves with a grade of less than ۲۵% are not considered as a source of iron unless the expansion of the stock is large or has cheap processing. The purpose of iron ore processing is to increase the grade of iron and decrease the grade of disturbing elements in it. For this reason, in this study, we analyzed the processing of iron ore and the use of iron ore in industry.
