Abstract:
DHPMs are important class of organic compounds in pharmaceutical industry. Synthesis methods of themhave often long time reactions and low yields. In this study, synthesis of DHPMs via three-component one-potcondensation by using TCCA/n-TiO۲ as new catalyst has been reported. At first, nanoparticles of TiO۲ wasapproved by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Then TCCA has been fixedon n-TiO۲ (TCCA/n-TiO۲) as a heterogeneous catalyst. DHPMs were prepared by reaction of urea/thiourea(۱۴ mmol), ethyl acetoacetate (۱۰ mmol) and aromatic aldehyde derivatives (۱۰ mmol) in present of TCCA/n-TiO۲ (۰.۰۳ g) as catalyst. The products were characterized by comparison of their melting points andspectroscopic data (FT-IR, ۱H-NMR and ۱۳C-NMR) with those reported. The present catalyst offers severaladvantages such as reduction of waste and environmental pollutions, simple purification, short reaction timesand excellent yields.
