Abstract:

در این مقاله، پژوهشگر بر آن است که نشان دهد رمان دل تاریکی (۱۸۹۹) اثر جوزف کنراد، یک متن استعماری است و تاییدگر ایدئولوژی و سیاست استعمارگری اروپایی، به خصوص بریتانیای عصر ویکتوریا، می­باشد. در این راستا، با استفاده از تحلیل بینامتنی تاریخ­باوری نوین و دیدگاه­های نقادانه­ی منتقدان نامی مطالعات پسااستعماری، پژوهش گر می­کوشد تا گفتمان نژادپرستی متن را مشخص کند، و بدین ترتیب نشان دهد که رمان کنراد در حقیقت بخشی از نظام استعمارگری اروپایی است که با واژگون­نمایی و فرومایه­انگاری آفریقا و بومیان، تصویری ترسناک و ناخوشایند از سرزمین و مردمان غیراروپایی ترسیم کرده است تا بر لزوم سلطه­ی استعماری آفریقا تاکید کند.
