Investigation of Climatic Indicators Method for Rangeland Management (Mehrabad Synoptic StationTehran) abstract
This study aimed to analyse the sensitivity of reference evapotranspiration to global warming inMehrabad Synoptic Station located in Tehran. For this purpose, changes in variables such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed, relative humidity and reference evapotranspiration were evaluated using climatedata and indices taken during 1951-2011. Relationship among these variables were also examined by Mann-Kendall’s correlation coefficient. Findings show that there have been many changes in every variable in thisperiod. In addition, there are correlation between ET0 and temperature, precipitation and relative humidityvariables. To complete the results of suitable vegetation cover, semi-arid climate of Tehran is presented. As itis clear, an effective method in selecting plants to maintain both stability and plants to be selected with theutmost care for planting. Many of which are such as Seltis sp, Tamarix Pentandra, Juniperus chinensis,Pistacia chinensis, Parrotia persica, Ziziphus jujube, Zelkova serrata, Cinnamommum camphora, Gleditschiaspp, and Carpinus betulus are native to Iran or have been planted in different areas since ancient times andhave had acceptable results.
