Abstract:
This study develops an integrated approach for green Supplier Selection Problem (SSP) of a polymer manufacturing company. Although the concept of Green Manufacturing (GM) has been vastly investigated in previous research, its integration with supplier selection problem of polymer manufacturing companies is less investigated. In this regard, this research has been arranged in three linked phases as follows. Firstly, a literature review is conducted to determine potential criteria of green SSP. As there are numerous criteria to be applied in this phase, an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to determine the most appropriate criteria of green supplier selection in the second phase. Next, a fuzzy-TOPSIS approach is applied to rank potential suppliers of a real case study. According to the obtained results, cost, quality, pollution control and environmentally friendly technology are the most important criteria of green supplier selection. In addition, anonymous supplier D is ranked as the best alternative. Finally, summary, conclusion and future research directions are discussed at the end of this research.
