Abstract:

This paper presents a video game for children with speech disorder. This video game provides an environment in which the child can enhance his/her speech disorder by playing the game at home comfortably and repeatedly, without getting bored. We used speech recognition system and visual feedback in our game which make the game attractive for children. The game can be customized by the therapist for each child. The game results will be recorded and sent to therapist for further analysis. We asked ten game experts to play our game and complete the prepared questionnaire. According to our experts, our game has a promising future to be used efficiently in therapy sessions. Further evaluations are necessary to be done on Parak game to achieve better result and confirm its efficiency
