Abstract:

The background and goals of the use of new communication technologies, especially social networks in recent decades, have introduced us to a new era and society; The society that Daniel Bell called the post-industrial society, Tada Omsu, the network society, and Mann Castell, the information society. The increasing spread of electronic communication technologies such as satellite and Internet networks and its impact on many social, cultural, political and economic aspects, has changed society so much that some experts in virtual social networks in the new dimension of power in The ۲۱st century has known. While we are witnessing a growing trend of users and members of Internet social networks, it is essential to understand the various dimensions of networks and be aware of their effects. With the arrival of technology in the field of countries, we must always witness its ups and downs. Teenagers are among the most prolific users of social network sites (SNS). Emerging studies find that youth spend a considerable portion of their daily life interacting through social media. Subsequently, questions and controversies emerge about the effects SNS have on adolescent development. This review outlines the theoretical frameworks researchers have used to understand adolescents and SNS. It brings together work from disparate fields that examine the relationship between SNS and social capital, privacy, youth safety, psychological well-being, and educational achievement.These research strands speak to high-profile concerns and controversies that surround youth participation in these online communities, and offer ripe areas for future research.
