The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning Mathematics

Mathematics is an abstract science. Since mathematical concepts are not easily tangible and objective, teaching mathematics is a complex process, so that learners introduce it as a difficult lesson to understand. Moreover, teaching and learning mathematics has become a challenge for teachers, professors, and students. In this case, computer technology advances, such as artificial intelligence (AI), have provided the field to solve teaching-learning problems and support the effectiveness of the educational process. The extant study examined the technology-based mathematics teaching-learning model, assessed educational technology and research in terms of various AI dimensions, and described the potential effects of this model.
