Abstract:
Introduction: Post-traumatic stress disorder is a disorder caused by events that a person is unable to comprehend. These events are so severe that one usually cannot gain proper insight into them. The root cause of this disorder is usually an accident in life. If this incident is not remedied, then we expect this disorder to occur. This concept usually creates a chain of events in a person's life. Post-traumatic stress disorder can lead to depression and panic disorder. Objectives:The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between personality traits and hardiness with symptoms of depression and post-traumatic stress based on religious beliefs in earthquake victims in Kermanshah province.Materials and Methods: In this study, ۴۰۰ survivors of Kermanshah earthquake in Sarpol-e Zahab city who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder were randomly selected and research questionnaires were distributed among them. Data were analyzed using SPSS۲۰ software. Statistical analysis included independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, path analysis and Pearson correlation.The descriptive results of the study show that this study included ۱۹۶ people equal to ۵۱.۳% men and ۱۸۶ people equal to ۴۸.۷% women. And the lowest frequency was related to the age of less than ۲۰ years with a frequency of ۷۰ people equal to ۱۸.۳%. The highest frequency is related to people with a diploma with a frequency of ۱۴۹, equivalent to ۳۹% with a diploma, and the lowest frequency is related to people with a master's degree and higher.
