Security-Probabilistic Transmission Line Planning Based on Benders Decomposition Algorithm Considering Wind Farms abstract
Expansion planning are challenged by increasing use of renewable resources and implementation of modern electricity generation technologies in transmission lines. In this research, an effective and efficient method for security and probabilistic of Transmission Expansion Planning (TEP) has been presented, taking into account the uncertainty of renewable energy generation and load variations. Benders decomposition algorithm has been used to solve the proposed probabilistic TEP problem. In the proposed method, a high limit for the allowable load curtailment rate is considered and the effect of existing uncertainties and changes in the high load curtailment limit on the investment cost of TEP is evaluated. The proposed method is implemented by MATLAB software on the famous Garver network. The final model of this method can be used effectively to plan transmission lines considering the influence of renewable energy-based generation.
