Abstract:

The advent of E-Commerce, technological innovations and globalization are increasingly driving banking services to change their traditional modes of operation. In order to support the growing needs of users a complex variety of new features should be implemented. However, in developing countries, e- banking services are faced with weak network bandwidth limitations which reduce the capability of representing these features. Moreover with the high diversity of communication devices used for mbanking services, dealing with this issue will be more complicated. Consecutively to satisfy user needs in such environments, adaptive approaches can be applied. User Interfaces Adaptation (UIA) is a promising attempt to overcome contemporary problems due to the increasing complexity of humancomputer interaction. We believe that UIA can resolve these challenges. To this end, we propose a context-aware model for adapting user interfaces, consistent with common current banking architectures.
