Abstract:
Ovarian cancer is one of the most common malignancies of the female reproductive system, which accounts for approximately ۳% of all female cancers and is the leading cause of death from female genital cancer in developed countries. Topotocan is a drug that inhibits mitotic division by inhibiting the enzyme topoisomerase, which is used in malignant adult cancers such as ovarian cancer. Haptoglobin is a protein encoded by the haptoglobin gene in humans. In blood plasma, haptoglobin binds to free hemoglobin, which is released from red blood cells, and prevents the oxidative activity of hemoglobin. Finally, the haptoglobin-hemoglobin complex is removed by the reticuloendothelial system (mostly the spleen). The main function of haptoglobin seems to be to prevent the excretion of free plasma hemoglobin from the kidneys. Preventing the excretion and loss of free hemoglobin helps maintain the iron in hemoglobin, which is valuable to the body. In this study, we investigated the effect of Topotecan on haptoglobin protein by molecular docking method Materials and methods:In this descriptive-analytical project, we first downloaded the most suitable three-dimensional structure of Topotecan protein in terms of resolution and number of suitable chains from the uniprot site in pdb format. We see some specifications of this protein below. Chain A was selected for the docking process because it is larger than the other chains and has the most amino acids.resolution =۳.۲۰ A
