Abstract:

In this paper, the effect of phosphorene nanotubes(PNTs) layer with different diameters and rollingdirections on the structure of surface plasmon resonance(SPR) biosensor in a Lumerical software environment issimulated and investigated. The main structure is based on the structure of Kretschmann and the use of the BK۷ prism,the gold(Au) layer, and the end layer of phosphorene nanotubes. The reflectance curves of the proposed SPRbiosensorswere obtained, analyzed, and compared for different modes in refractive indices n = ۱.۳۳ and ۱.۳۳۹,resembling a neutral watery and a bacterial medium, respectively. The results show that the minimum reflection isoccurred for ۳۰nm Au in an SPR resonance angle of θ = ۷۱.۵۹°, while adding phosphorene nanotubes, it is observedthat in diameter of ۱۰.۰۸A and an armchair rolling direction configurations on the Au layer becomes desirable. It wasobserved that the minimum reflectance of ۰.۱۹۹ is achieved for aPNTs(۱۰.۰۸A) layer on ۳۰nm Au. The combinationalso yields a sensitivity of ۱۵۲ °/RIU for Δn = ۰.۰۰۹ with a great detection accuracy of ۰.۰۷۹. The results show that thephosphorene nanotubes layer has a positive effect on the SPR-biosensor, And this layer can be used as a controllingfactor in SPR- biosensors.
