The structure of semiconductors and their application in theelectrical engineering

There is no doubt that semiconductors change the world.They make two important tasks easy forthe people, communicating and data processing. People have always needed to do these tasks andby entry of semiconductors to the industry, doing these jobs take less time than before.Semiconductors materials are the main builders of electronics and computer industry. It wouldn’tbe possible to have small, lightweight, high speed, and low power consumption devices withoutintegrated circuits, which are made with semiconductor materials and of course they have a largeselection of current and voltage control capabilities. Therefore, semiconductors are engaged inmanufacture of different electronic devices like diodes and transistors etc. Most of the devices thatare made with semiconductors have found wide application because of their various benefits whichwas mentioned. They are the important part for most electronic systems, communication services,computing and control applications in the consumer and industrial markets. In this paper we try toexplain about semiconductors materials’ instructions and their classification and the temperatureeffects on semiconductors. On the other side we try to provide a general discussion ofsemiconductors’ usage in modern electrical engineering industry.
