A review of MXene 2D nanomaterials and its efficiency in energy storage systems abstract

MXenes have piqued the interest of researchers in a variety of scientific and technical sectors for a variety of applications, including energy storage devices such as supercapacitors (SC) and flexible batteries, among others. Because of their unique mechanical, physicochemical, optical, electrical, and electrochemical characteristics, pure MXenes and their composites are being used in a growing number of different classes of solid ceramics (SCs). It is discussed in this overview how several types of MXenes are used in SCs, as well as the difficulties related with their use, such as flexibility, diffusion resistance, and oxidation.
