The Approximation of Input-Output Mutual Information of Free Space Optical Channels

In this paper, using a simple mathematical method, an approximation is derived for the input-output mutual information of free space optical channels. Using the collected results, the optimum corresponding input distribution is calculated. The capacity of the FSO channel can also be obtained.
