The aim of this work was to investigate the concentration of stress due to various shape cut out insheets under mechanical and thermal loads. Geometrical changes and loading creates stressconcentration. Under this condition, stress is increased in the regions of geometrical changes andif its value exceeds yield stress, the material fails in these regions. The distribution of stress insheets with polygon shape includes various geometrical cut out was conducted in order to predictthe amount stress concentration close to edge of perforations. Results were obtained base on finiteelement method by considering the mechanical and thermal loads. Also, relationships among stressconcentration factors and relative dimensions of hole were determined using the equationsacquired from elasticity theory. It is worth mentioning that, the obtained results carried on by theaid of COMCOL Multiphysics software. So that, predicted results are sufficient enough to provethe effect of changing geometry on disturbing the stress.
