Facile synthesis of a stable (EA)۲Pt(OH)۶ solution as platinum precursor for threewaycatalyst

An aqueous solution of bis (ethanolammonium) hexahydroxo platinate (IV) ((EA)۲Pt(OH)۶) wassynthesized from platinum bar as the starting material, through digestion, hydrolysis, neutralization anddissolution processes. Eventually catalytic activity of the synthesized compound which was employed in athree-way catalyst (TWC) catalyst was assessed and the candidate compound showed the satisfied results.
