Abstract:

Rivers live on their banks and provide suitable habitat for many animals. These green networks respond to different functions of environment and aesthetics. The presence of rivers in rural and urban areas can be a factor to moderate the climate and create a very good landscape for rural and urban dwellers. Therefore, in the last century in the world and in recent years much attention has been paid to such spaces and while maintaining the normal bed and sides of rivers. It is tried to organize rivers’ lands and use them for various uses such as green spaces and parks to be used for many functions and with landscape architecture. The study and classification of several cities in countries and the role that rivers have played in locating the main structure of the city or in its formation and development are the basis of discussions that are raised in the first step in dealing with any river. The question of article is how sustainalble development should be done based on environmentally, functionally, and aesthetically with architecture of rivers , riverbanks, sides and their landscapes.
