A Histogram-based Image Segmentation using Fuzzy C-means and K-means and Trend Analysis using Mann-Kendall

A wide range of scientific fields rely on image segmentation methods for their success and progress. This study surveyed the performance of the k-means and fuzzy c-means approaches for image segmentation in detecting agricultural land use using the image of aerial maps. Also, the Mann-Kendall test was utilized for trend analysis of the results obtained from both techniques. These methods were applied to the map of Al Khaburah city, Oman. The results demonstrated that the percentage of the agricultural area declined from ۲۰۰۷ to ۲۰۲۱.
