Dynamic Response of Pyroelectric Piezothermoelastic Composite Plate abstract

The analysis of piezothermoelectric materials require the knowledge of piezoelectricity and thermal fields, which are inherently coupled within the material. The area where such materials may provide significant advantages is in the development of piezothermoelastic composite structures with the capability to sense thermally induced distortions and to actively compensate for adverse thermomechanical conditions. Recent interest in piezothermoelasticity stems from the potential that the piezoelectric materials are used in the smart structural systems designed to operate in thermal environments. When the piezoelastic system induces temperature, the analysis may be carried out using the coupled thermoelasticity theory. The importance of pyroelectric effect on the dynamic response of coupled piezothermoelastic composite plate is important. Various dynamic control systems could be used. One of them is the direct proportional feedback control algorithm in which a closed control loop to couple the direct and converse piezothermoelastic effects as a distributed system. With considering the pyroelectric effect, the dynamic induced temperature responses are increased.
