A study of reinforced concrete columns using FRP fibers

FRP sheets have been noticed in Japan since the ۸۰s and then imported to Europe and finally other parts of the world. These materials were noticed in the construction industry due to the weak points of steel, such as relatively high weight, lack of resistance in relevant and corrosive environments, and due to the unique advantages they had, such as ease of installation, high plasticity, resistance in chemical and corrosive environments, and Light weight, their use is widespread. In this research, while introducing the characteristics of these materials, including their mechanical properties, the results of the test of two column samples under concentric load and eccentric load in which FRP is used are analyzed.
