Abstract:

In recent years, the medical sector has focused on improving the quality of services. Increasing thequality and satisfaction of clients, patients and personnel is one of the ultimate goals of a hospital.Hospitals use different factors to improve their performance. One of the most important factors inachieving this goal is quality management and maintenance of medical equipment. Applying theseprinciples increases the efficiency and correct evaluation of the hospital. This study was conducted withthe aim of investigating the role of quality management and maintenance of medical equipment inimproving the performance of hospitals. Examining the factors related to the performance of hospitalsshows that paying attention to quality principles and checking and maintaining equipment can lead tobetter performance in the hospital and increase the performance of personnel and increase thesatisfaction of clients and patients. Optimal management of medical equipment in hospitals has a greatimpact on reducing costs and providing optimal health care services. Management of medical equipmentis of special importance and if it is not observed, hospitals will face serious challenges. The results ofthis study indicate that quality management and maintenance of medical equipment can play a valuablerole in improving the performance of hospitals.
