Abstract:

In the last decade, using of different codes to design pressure vessels has become morepopular. In this paper we used following four codes to examinate advantages of each one.ASME SEC VIII Div.۱, ASME SEC VIII Div.۲ part ۴, ASME SEC VIII Div.۲ part ۵, are thethree codes that used in this paper. In this comparison we use Elastic-Perfectly-Plastic Methodin Abaqus V۲۰۱۹, with ۹۸۰۰ S۴R elements and static-general step. Results show that LimitLoad method of the ASME SEC VIII Div.۲ that used for FEM achieves ۲۶.۷% thicknessreduction than ASME SEC VIII Div.۱ and ۷.۸% than ASME SEC VIII Div.۲ part ۴.
