Abstract:
Fused deposition modeling is one of the most commonmethod utilized in the additive manufacturing process ofpolymers. In this study, at first, the steps of thefabrication of Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament usingsingle-screw extruder have been profoundly described. Then, the effects of different nozzle temperatures of ۲۰۰and ۲۲۵ ◦C and nozzle diameters of ۰.۶ and ۰.۸ mm onthe tensile properties of ۳D printing PLA dogbones wereinvestigated. The results represented that as the nozzletemperature, increases from ۲۰۰ to ۲۲۵ ◦C, the values ofelastic modulus, elongation and ultimate tensile strengthenhance by ۸.۴۲۴, ۴.۳۴۷, and ۱۳.۶۱۷ %, respectively.Furthermore, the higher the nozzle diameter, the higherthe modulus of elasticity. However, the higher the nozzlediameter, the lower the elongation and ultimate tensilestrength.
