Design of Resin Injection Device for Repairing of Generator’s Failed Anchor Bolts abstract
The power plant generators have a foundation to sitdown and level in site. Several special bolts that areknown as anchor bolts, perform connecting of thermalgenerator to foundation. Anchor bolts function to stablegenerator as well as damp and transmit the vibration tothe foundation. Anchor bolt sleeves can be provided toallow pretensioning and small adjustments in the field asrequired. Here, investigated anchor bolt included twoplates in top and bottom part that were joined with a pipetogether (all parts are embedded in foundation). One boltwith about 2 meters height was passed through the pipe, where one side of bolt was fixed in bottom plate and thetop side tightened in stator frame of generator. Theextreme vibration could be lead bolts to fractureoccasionally. The repairing or substituting of thefractured anchor bolts necessitates replacing the statorframe, which result to spend great cost and process time. One of the low cost method and superseded procedure isapplying and injecting a kind of multi-metal resin insidethe pipe in that the anchor bolt is broken in order tosatisfy the connecting function of it. This pasted form ofresin functions as a local casting to supply all anchorbolts mechanical properties. In this article, the supersededprocedure with related design of special injecting deviceand strength analysis of it, was described.
