Abstract:

The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between organizational commitment and social responsibility with the mediation of information literacy. The method of this study was descriptive correlational. The statistical population consisted of all faculty members of the medical and paramedical faculties of Islamic Azad University of Mazandaran province in the academic year of ۱۴۰۱-۰۲ and ۱۷۵ students were selected by the available sampling method. Measurement tools were Allen and Meyer's Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (۱۹۹۰), Carol's Social Responsibility (۱۹۹۱), and Siamak and Davarpanah's Information Literacy Questionnaire (۲۰۰۹). The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts. By calculating Cronbach's alpha, the reliability of the organizational commitment questionnaire was ۰.۸۷, social responsibility was ۰.۸۱ and information literacy was ۰.۸۴. At the confidence level of ۹۵% (α = ۰.۰۵), the findings showed that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational commitment and social responsibility, between information literacy and social responsibility, and between organizational commitment and information literacy. A significant positive relationship was found between organizational commitment and social responsibility, mediated by the information literacy of faculty members in the Faculty of Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Islamic Azad University. In other words, organizational commitment to information literacy has the most significant pathway and the greatest impact.
