Research on urban carpet motifs of Qazvin

Carpet is one of the most important manifestations of the original Iranian culture and art that has been slowly forgotten in contemporary times. With the election of Qazvin as the capital of the Sa-favid state, which is one of the most decisive parts of Iranian history, a new pattern of carpets woven in the city was formed in Iran, known as the Qazvin City Carpet. Since the design and patterns of the car-pet has been the most fundamental cultural reflection of the ancient tribes, it is obviously the most im-portant way to revive it. Experts believe that one of the effective ways to meet the needs of the global carpet markets is to restore and restore the old and forgotten maps of Iran. Therefore, if there is com-plete information on the designs and patterns of Qazvin carpet in organized collection, manufacturers will be able to revive new specimens by referring to a complete source of the design and patterns of this area. This descriptive-analytical study has identified, studied and analyzed the samples of urban carpet weaving in Qazvin. The results of Qazvin urban carpet survey indicate that most of the designs and patterns of Qazvin urban carpet have been borrowed from other cities, especially Sarouq and Kashan.
