Abstract:

This research presents a simple & novel sol–gel auto combustion method for synthesis of copper borate (Cu۳B۲O۶) nanostructures having several morphologies such as spherical nanoparticles applying modern reactive agents. Also, in this work, the effect of amino acid type, gelling agent, and amino acid-to-metal ratio upon morphology was well studied and also, the efficiency of Cu۳B۲O۶ nanostructures as a photocatalyst for the decolorization of Acid Violet ۷ (AV۷) as an azo dye using ultraviolet and visible light irradiation was studied and more than ۸۸ and ۸۰% of AV۷ was decolorized under them after ۸۰ min, respectively.
