Abstract:
The synthesis of SnFe۲O۴ nanostructures is reported by co-precipitation method. For achieving the best properties for the nanostructures the experimental conditions were optimized. The experiments showed that pH about ۹ can be produced appropriate nanostructures. Characterization the samples was performed by different spectroscopic and microscopic techniques. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed pure SnFe۲O۴ nanostructures with crystallite size about ۱۲ nm. After characterization, the samples were used for drug delivery applications. In order to turn the nanostructures into a platform for drug delivery, we cover the SnFe۲O۴ nanostructures with glycine so that the carboxyl groups can be attached to the curcumin drug. The results showed SnFe۲O۴ nanostructures can be a good candidate for drug delivery applications.
