The therapeutic role of plants in the lithographic book “Ajaib al- Makhluqat” by “Ali Gholi Khoei”

In the division of sciences, in the past, Mysterious (Gharibeh) sciences are considered one of the types of sciences, which included cosmology, mineralogy, and supernatural affairs. Therefore, the concept of science in that period was completely different compared to today. In the books of wonders that became popular during this period, there are some items under the collection of Ajaib al- Makhluqat, which is considered a science today, such as botany or zoology. Since medicinal plants are among the wonders in the book of the Ajaib al- Makhluqat’s Ali Gholi Khoei, the existing research seeks to answer the question of what healing properties these plants have and why they are known as one of the strange creatures. The purpose of the research is to explain the role of treatment in this book. The research information is collected by documentary method and the research method is descriptive-analytical. The findings of the research show that treatment, either by plants or by our supernatural forces, was a strange work. It seems that plants have been classified as wonders due to having different characteristics and changing a person's mood.
