The Effect of Trust on Employees' Citizenship Behavior with the Mediating Role of Self-esteem (Study Case: Employees of the Central Headquarters of Refah Kargaran Bank)

Abstract:

The present research was carried out with the aim of determining the effect of trust on employees' citizenship behavior with the mediating role of self-esteem of employees of Refah Kargaran Bank headquarters in a descriptive correlational method. The statistical population is all the employees of the central headquarters of Refah Kargaran Bank, including the people who are employed in ۱۴۰۱, of which ۳۷۸ people were selected according to the table of Karjesi and Morgan by simple random and relative class method. The research tools include the Organizational Trust Questionnaire (۲۰۰۸), the Organizational Citizen Behavior Standard Questionnaire of Oregon and Kanoski (۱۹۹۰) and the Cooper Smith Self-Esteem Questionnaire (۱۹۶۷). By means of Cronbach's alpha, organizational trust questionnaire with a coefficient of ۰.۸۹۶, organizational citizen behavior questionnaire with a coefficient of ۰.۸۸ and self-esteem with a coefficient of ۰.۸۹ were calculated and confirmed, and finally the data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that organizational trust explains approximately ۳۴% of the changes in self-esteem and organizational citizenship behavior of employees of Refah Kargaran Bank headquarters. On the other hand, according to the significance level of the test (p = ۰.۰۰۰) and its smaller than (p < ۰.۰۵), it can be judged that there is a significant effect between organizational trust and self-esteem and organizational citizenship behavior of employees of Refah Kargaran Bank headquarters. On the other hand, according to the positive effect (b۱=۰.۶۸۴), it can be concluded that with the increase in organizational trust, the self-esteem and organizational citizenship behavior of the employees of Refah Karkaran Bank headquarters will increase.
