Abstract:
ABSTRACT- In order to study the effects of different irrigation regimes and plant density on yield and yield components of bean, a split plot arrangement was conducted in complete randomized block design during two years. The foremost variable was four levels of irrigation: ۶۰, ۸۰, ۱۰۰, and ۱۲۰% of the potential evapotranspiration. The second variable was within the row spacing of ۵ cm (D۱), ۱۰ cm (D۲) and ۱۵ cm (D۳) in three replications. The dry biomass and yield of bean were shown to be significantly affected by the difference within row spacing and irrigation. Results indicated that the dry biomass and grain yield increased when the density of planting and irrigation increased. In ۲۰۱۳, the maximum yield was ۳۰۶۱.۸ kg ha-۱, occurring at ۱۲۰% of potential evapotranspiration and the ۵ cm within row spacing. The maximum water use efficiency was ۰.۳۳ kg m-۳, occurring at ۱۰۰% of potential evapotranspiration and the ۵ cm within row spacing. Minimum yield and water use efficiency under the condition of ۶۰% potential evapotranspiration and within row spacing of ۱۵ cm were ۸۳۴.۲ kg ha-۱ and۰.۱۲ kg m-۳, respectively. With respect to ۱۰۰% potential evapotranspiration and within row spacing of ۵ cm in ۲۰۱۴, the maximum yield and water use efficiency were ۳۳۰۵.۲ kg ha-۱ and ۰.۳۴ kg m-۳, respectively. Minimum yield and water use efficiency were ۱۱۵۰.۰ kg ha-۱ and ۰.۱۷ kg m-۳, respectively for ۶۰% potential evapotranspiration and within row spacing of ۱۵ cm.
