زمینه و هدف: سرطان پروستات شایع ترین سرطان مردانه و هشتمین علت مرگ در ایران است. آنژیوژنز عامل اصلی متاستاز و مقاومت به داروئی در این سرطان است. هدف این تحقیق بررسی تاثیر ده هفته تمرین تناوبی با شدت بالا بر سطوح استراحتی برخی عوامل آنژیوژنز و عملکرد ریوی مردان مبتلابه سرطان پروستات بود. مواد و روشها: این مطالعه نیمه تجربی بر روی مردان مبتلابه سرطان پروستات انجام شد. ۲۰ مرد مبتلابه سرطان پروستات با دامنه سنی ۵۵ تا ۶۲ سال انتخاب و به صورت تصادفی به دو گروه کنترل (۱۰ نفر) و تجربی (۱۰ نفر) تقسیم شدند. گروه تجربی به مدت ۱۰ هفته تمرین تناوبی با شدت بالا، هر هفته سه جلسه و هر جلسه ۴۰ دقیقه با شدت ۷۰ تا ۷۵ ضربان قلب بیشینه را انجام دادند. ۴۸ ساعت قبل و بعد از اجرای پروتکل تمرین تناوبی، عامل رشد اندوتلیالی عروق (VEGF)، عامل رشد فیبروبلاست (FGF)، نیتریک اکساید (NO) و عملکرد ریوی (FVC) اندازه گیری شد. تغییرات درون گروهی و بین گروهی به ترتیب با استفاده از آزمون تی وابسته و تی مستقل مورد تجزیه وتحلیل قرار گرفت. نتایج: نتایج نشان داد انجام ۱۰ هفته تمرین تناوبی با شدت بالا باعث افزایش معنی داری در سطوح VEGF(۰۰۱/۰P=)، FGF (۰۰۱/۰P=) و NO (۰۰۱/۰P=)، در گروه تجربی نسبت به گروه کنترل شد. همچنین، ۱۰ هفته تمرین تناوبی باعث افزایش معنی داری در FVC(۰۰۲/۰P=) شد. نتیجه گیری: به نظر می رسد ۱۰ هفته تمرین تناوبی با شدت بالا باعث افزایش عوامل آنژیوژنز و عملکرد ریوی در بیماران مبتلابه سرطان پروستات می گردد.
