A New synthesis of functionalized imidazo[۲,۱-b][۱,۳]thiazineswith thiohydantoins, isocyanides and dialkylacetylenedicarboxylates

The reaction of stoichiometric amounts of dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates with alkylisocyanides and ۵,۵-diaryl thiohydantoins in toluene and catalytic amount of p-TSA affordedimidazo[۲,۱-b][۱,۳]thiazines in good overall yields.
