Abstract:
In this study, a one-pot and efficient method is reported for the synthesis of symmetricaldisulfides from alkyl halides in the present of sulfur and ۱-butyl-۳-methylimidazoliumhydroxide as a basic reagent and phase transfer catalyst.Thereaction proceeded very fast andafforded the desired products in moderate to excellent isolated yields
