A New Control Design To Overcome Transient Problems Of Inverters In A Stand-Alone Micro-Grid abstract
In this paper, a new design for sharing power between parallel inverters working in an islanded micro-grid is introduced. This method is compared with conventional droop method which uses a low pass filter (LPF) in its power calculation unit. The power calculation unit of conventional droop method is replaced with a new unit which calculates instantaneous three-phase active and reactive powers and use these parameters to overcome the delay of conventional droop method in transient mode. The other benefit of this method is decreasing the circulating currents between parallel inverters during transient time. The method is tested in a three-phase system with two inverters. Finally, results are shown and they can prove the validity and good performance of the proposed method
