NEW APROACH FOR OPTIMIZATION AND INVISTIGATION OF FUEL COMBINATION IN COMBUSTION SYNTHESIS OF LANTHANUM STRONTIUM MANGANITE abstract

A mixture design of experiment was used to optimize the combination of citric acid, ethylene glycol and urea as a fuel with the aim of minimizing impurities in single-step synthesis of lanthanum strontium manganite via sol-gel combustion method. Using Design Expert software, a D-optimalmixture was utilized to design the appropriate set of experiments. XRD patterns obtained from asburnedpowders identified SrCO3 as the main impurity. Quantitative measurements using MaterialsAnalysis Using Diffraction (MAUD) software revealed SrCO3 content in the range of 12.8-23.5weight percent. According to the results, the minimum SrCO3 content can be obtained by using the optimum combination including 50% of citrate, 13% of urea and 37% of ethylene glycol functional groups
