Abstract:
In this study, hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of Chlorella vulgaris microalgae biomass with n-hexane solventand isopropanol as hydrogen donors was performed in supercritical conditions and a high-pressure reactor as aone-pot. This process was modeled using the response surface method (RSM) for analysis. SAS JMP statisticalsoftware was used to optimize the experimental data to obtain the equation between the factors and the response.The results showed that when the process was carried out without a catalyst, the bio-jet fuel with high selectivity(C۸-C۱۶) and low time obtained ۶۰% and ۴۷% product yield and main productivity, respectively. Studies show.that supercritical fluid effects are promising and effective for hydrodeoxygenation of bio-oil upgrading
