Zinc hydroxide nano particles loaded on activated carbon as adsorbent for removal of brilliant green abstract
The objective of this study was to assess the suitability and efficiency of Zinc Hydroxide nanoparticle loaded on activated carbon (Zn(OH)2-NP-AC) for the removal of Brilliant green (BG) in batch method was studied. The influence of variable including pH, contact time, initial dye concentration, Zn(oH)2-NP-AC amount, temperature, etc by one at time optimization method has been investigated. BG contents and its removal percentage were determined using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer before and after adsorption. The sorption processes followed the pseudo-second-order in addition to intraparticle diffusion kinetics models with good correlation coefficient. Equilibrium data fitted well with the Langmuir models with maximum Langmuir adsorption capacity of 100 mg/g.
