Using Hollow Fiber Membrane Contactor for Ammonia Removal from Aqueous Solution abstract

Due to adverse effects of ammonium its elimination from the liquid solutions is essential. for ammonia removal by hallow fiber membrane contactor. Effective parameters: Distribution procedure within the membrane, Ammonia and sulfuric acid primary concentration, the pH ammonia, Speed of incoming flowing rate, presence of excess ions in ammonium was studied.Membrane structure was investigated by microscopic electronic scanning (SEM) and microscopic atomic scanning (AFM). The experiments showed that 99% of the ammonia in the liquid dilution was removed. The best results were gleaned at maximum pH and maximum speed of feed solution. Acid circulation speed and salt concentration didn’t have drastic impact on isolation rate & with decreasing food primary concentration the removal time has decreased. Also, presence of excess ions didn’t have an impact on the process.
