A New Plug-Socket without Electrical Contacts for Marine Application

A new plug-socket without electrical contactbetween the plug and socket for underwater application isproposed. This plug-socket is currently registered as patent withnumber of 71468 in Iran. All parts of the proposed plug-socketare modeled and the optimum design is obtained using iterativeapproaches. The efficiency of the obtained design is evaluatedwith flux density simulations using Maxwell Software Package.Furthermore, to verify the design, a prototype has beenconstructed and tested. The performed simulations andexperimental results reveal the effectiveness of proposed plugsocket.
