Abstract:

Boehmite is γ-AlOOH and it is the most stable phase of alumina after gibbsite [۱], whichcontains high aggregation of hydroxyl groups on its surface [۲]. Therefore boehmite nanoparticlescan be used as an excellent support for fabrication of heterogeneous catalysts [۳]. Consequently atfirst part of this work, boehmite nanoparticles were modified using ۳-choloropropyltrimtoxysilaneand then ۱,۳-bis(pyridin-۳-ylmethyl)thiourea ((PYT)۲) was anchored on its surface. Then, cobaltcomplex was immobilized on its surface (Co-(PYT)۲@boehmite). The final obtained nanoparticleswere characterized by FT-IR, TGA, SEM, WDX, EDS, and XRD techniques. At second part ofthis work, Co-(PYT)۲@boehmite was used as an efficient, stable, and selective nanocatalyst forthe synthesis of tetrazole derivatives. Because tetrazoles are an important group of medicinal andorganic compounds which possess many uses in several fields such as coordination chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, drugs, medicinal chemistry [۴, ۵]. Co-(PYT)۲@BNPs can recoveredand reused again for several consecutively runs without any re-activation
